5 Spice Powder
Ingredients:
cassia bark
fennel seeds
cloves
star anise
cinnamon
sichuan pepper
Method:
Toast equal amounts of the spices in a dry pan over a low heat.
Then grind all the spices to a powder.
Store in an air-tight jar.
Five spice may be used with various meats and also used in stir-fried vegetables and as a spice rub for chicken, duck, meat and seafood
